Wood Chips (WC)

Wood Chips are a pivotal member of the solid fuel quartet alongside firewood, briquettes, and wood pellets. Striking the right balance between cost, handling, and energy density, WC’s adaptability is accentuated by the CAN/CSA-ISO 17225 standards. While the firewood market offers limited scope, our attention is focused on amplifying the capabilities of WC, producing both low and high-quality grades tailored for diverse applications. In the backdrop of Canada’s abundant wood residues, the WC market, though modest, holds promise especially in the light of the new carbon tax on fossil fuels. With WC’s potential to be transformed into high-density fuels like briquettes or pellets, the possibilities are immense.

UltraFine Wood Powder (UWP)

Taking innovation a step further, the Ultrafine Wood Powder is a product of meticulous micronization of FWP to dimensions of 1mm or even finer. Positioned as a potential game-changer for cost-effective sugar production, the UWP, though promising, is in its evolutionary phase. Our collaborative efforts with academia and industry stalwarts aim to unveil a demo-scale plant by 2025, setting the stage for revolutionary applications of UWP.
